The rain was heavy on Sunday morning, but a group of brave souls (ten of us) ventured out to Regent Street complete with costumes to take part in the Guinness world record of Sevillianas dance.  We were lucky when we arrived as the rain stopped.  We even had about two minuets of sunshine.

There were about 470 people who took part.  Many of the ladies wore beautiful Sevillianas dresses and had flowers and combs in their hair.  It brightened up a dull day.

A group from the SIFD also took part.  In their group were two men and four ladies.  All were in full costume.

We all danced in an arena while many spectators watched and took photographs.  There were many different styles of Sevillianas as people were in different dance groups.  A few people came on their own on the day and had to find partners to dance with.

It was a fun day for everyone who took part.
