
The Proteas Group are named after a South african Flower. They Perform South African Quadrilles. These dances are performed in couples and have been copied from European Quadrilles.The difference is the style and music which has a South African influence. They dance in the colours of the South african flag, The groups ages range from 40's to 86.
This year they took part in the BIG DANCE at Trafalgar Square. The BBC were so impressed with them, they were interviewed live by Bruce Forsythe.
